One of these would be nice for the 84 notchback project. I won't have the funds to buy one until next fall. The timing on this group buy isn't in my favor. Bummer.

Do I understand correctly that a Gripper will NOT work in a 4 speed?

The gripper will work in a 4 speed...you just need a different bolt size. When we did the original order we had some units that came through with 4 and 5 speed bolt holes.

Aww! Good to know, but unfortunately still not in the cards until fall. Maybe Mongo can buy a few units to put on the shelf, it seemed to be a profitable venture in the past...

I have one of the diffs with both the 8mm and 10mm holes (for 4spd or 5spd). I had the whole face milled down (instead of spot faced) about 0.090" because spot facing would have resulted in about the same outcome as milling the whole face.

If it isn't too late, I am in for one.

That would make three.

1. Mezzanine
2. Crazyswede
3. KPAero

Drew is undecided. (You know you want one)
And waiting to hear back from saabmatt and allessence.

Does that mean we are invited to some extensive WA back road testing?

I'm still interested in two but it is bad timing, what sort of time scale are we talking to order?

Also my company are based in Leicester not far from Coventry, I’m guessing this is where they would come from so I could collect and ship on the others which may help in shipping costs etc I certainly wouldn’t want mine shipped to the US and back to the UK again.

Cheers
Matt

I would like to move on this as quickly as possible, but I guess it depends on when we can get enough orders. Any idea how long until you would be able to order?

And if you could pick them up that would certainly be helpful.

The short answer is yes... Just have to figure out what car gets it first. I think I'll save this for the 99T, and my Quaife will go in the 900s notch.

I am just hoarding- can't turn down the chance at a good price on a hard-to-come-by item.

That is what I'm thinking. What was the price on these? Will the manufacture help us road whinnies with recommended ramp angles?

Thanks SaabMatt for offering to collect. Will you be willing to ship (2) to the Pacific Northwest to one address?

Price is $1,013 plus shipping. Gripper quoted 275 to ship five to me in NH, if SaabMatt is able to pick up that might help some as well.

I'm going to pass. Stick with the Quaife I have on the shelf. I can not see how it would be an advantage in a road car, plus I know and like the way the Quaife performs.

Good luck with the group buy. I know it is a bit of work to organize, from my group buy with the 18 Quaifes we had shipped to the States.
