Hi there. After a good while, i finally came around to change the looks of my 900. I got a set of US-lights for it, from Tweek's Turbos here on the forum (thanks a lot man!), mainly because the inserts of those are 100 times easier to find, and a whole lot cheaper, than a pair of standard euro lights, since they are no longer in production.
So, just a couple of weeks ago, i came around to change the bumpers, so i began with the rear;
I am running the old 99cc tail lights, with the lights on the hatch toned black. They still light up tough, and pretty good too, thanks to LEDs that shine like a 21w bulb.
And then, a couple of days later, i raged out on the front.
Sadly, i didn't have the cable lugs to get the old turn signals to fit, so i left the original lights and grille on, and planned to get the lights changed when i came home from my vacation.
Didn't look too shabby anyway though.
The oilcooler feels a bit too exposed, but i'm hunting a turbo front spoiler.
And then i came home. BAM! The lights went on faster than a speeding turtle. I am quite satisfied with it actually.
Looks a bit raw without the bumper, but i don't think the men of law would approve of it.
So it came back on.
Let there be light!
I will upload more pictures of this one, since some more things have happend after these pics were taken, but if you want to check out some of my older pictures, you can check it out here--> http://www.garaget.org/?car=251693 and here--> http://www.garaget.org/mypage/gallery.p ... lbum=33476

So what do people in Sweden think about the different headlights on your car?

Most people think it looks nice. Haven't really heard anything bad about them.
Personaly, i love them. Not only because they are more unique over here, but also because they are cheaper than euro lights. Especially since they stoped making parts for the euro type.
Funny thing is, just a little while after i got these from the states, i stumbled upon a pair of NOS plastic surroundings for them on Blocket.se, which is kind of like your craigslist. Felt a bit random, but since i bought them too, i could paint these ones black.

When I first read this post I couldn't figure out what the difference was...Now I realize you guys are calling the early grill light setup the flat front vs a slope front. I was thinking Flat hoods like on the early Ovlov 240's.

I definitely like the flat nose fascia much better than the later sloped type. I have experimented with matching trim to body color. I think the body color grille looks ok on a car with E codes, but with standard 200mm lights and bezels, I always stick with a gray/silver tone.
Just my preference...
You can actually get Hella 200mm lenses that are a direct fit replacement for the sealed beam lights. They fit the H4 bulbs and combined with an uprated wire harness from Susquehanna Motorsports (www.rallylights.com), will give you massive light output. I have 90w low / 130w high beams. You can also modify the parking light in the bezel to run 55w H3 lights without much trouble.
Cibie also made a 200mm upgrade lens that uses H4 bulbs, but they are harder to find.

I recommend the IPF inserts over the Hella's. The IPF's are much better quality and still only about $40 per insert.
