So, if I were to drill a hole in a metal bumber of a SAAb 96 to mount a pair, what would the diamter need to be?
And to center it nicely in the center of each side of the grill where should that hole go?

this would depend on the diameter of the mounting bolt you are using?

Just from a radom internet pic, but it looks like they already come with the nut and bolt (maybe stud is better term). Anyways that round metal thing that comes out the bottom.

so why don't you get them and then measure the bolt and drill accordingly?

I have a pair of these at home and could measure them but I highly recommend that you don't drill until you have them on-hand. You also need to consider whether they will be deep enough that they interfere with the grille and if the bumper is rigid enough to support them without the lights bouncinging all around.

Will do,
My thought was to drill first then paint. I was hopping to not have to drill thru nice paint.

Aren't the longnose bumpers stainless steel? So no need to paint the hole?
