I started a thread over on Specialstage to try and get a database going to help people out who may be looking for a race seat and wonder about the fit. For those of you in the 5'4 to 5'11 size range you can probably ignore all of this as you will fit just about every seat out there. Those of us on the taller end of the scale struggle to find any race seat that fits as it should.
My thought is to list your build and body dimensions along with a photo of yourself in the seat you use or seats you have an opportunity to sit in so that other people can relate and have a real world idea if the seat might work:
Mongo:
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 210 lbs
Waist: 35"
Inseam: 34"
Seat base to top of Shoulders: 28"
Width across shoulders: About 22"
Width across chest: About 16"
Sitting in Luke's Sparco Circuit: (fail on fit)

Re: Interactive Race Seat fitment guide
Once I get the Bimaro I will put it up. Sounds like a fantastic idea.
For reference I am 6'4" (my torso is more like someone who is 6'6") 230lbs and like long walks on the beach.

I'll ask Walter Clark at the next hill climb about his seat. I talked to him about it when I bought his old seat he replaced, and remember him saying he had some issues finding a head restraint seat he fit in. Maybe I can get some measurements of seat and driver at Okemo. If memory serves me, he has this Cobra seat:

Sat in a recaro spg this weekend. I fit at the waist and my shoulders just fit under the head wings. My eyes were just below the wings...but the belt slots are tiny and way too low .

You could just have your torso shortened.
Or just give up on racing and join the circus....

I thought we already told you that you could not recruit for your circus on this forum.

Re: Interactive Race Seat fitment guide
My new seat arrived today. I ended up going with a Corbeau Revenge wide and it is a very good fit. I could probably fit into the normal width seat but I was ordering this from the UK and didnt want to risk it. I worked with GSM performance seats as they were very helpful in measuring different seats for dimensions beyond the normal one provided by seat mfg's. the cost of the seat with delivery to the USA was about $1100...Seat was about $800 and is Kevlar/GRP. If my Torso were a tad shorter they also had an FIA seat made by a company called Mirco (not Micro)...and it would have been about half the cost...but again I didnt want to risk it.

you could use the stock base mount and attach the seat to that

Re: Interactive Race Seat fitment guide
I'm using the original rails and I have a flat piece of stock tacked to those....I sit very low and have yet to mount the pass seat because I've never really cared for it ... with the complete lower seat bracket I would hit my head on the roof sitting way too high
