Image Hosting: help needed
Would like to host some pictures so that I can contribute them to this site... but got frustrated with image hosting sites. Had time to check out only a few, but they want you to download custom software, activex controls and applets, which are mostly spyware. Even eBay does this.
TANSTAAFL. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks if I could get decent performance but no spyware loaded onto my laptop.
Ideas?
Thanks!
Rob

Well if you want to spend a few bucks, sign up on a decent web host and you will have more storage space than you can desire. Usually cost is only about $3-8 a month. From there you can just upload whatever you want through client side FTP or their own upload tools.
If its saab-related stuff you want to share we could probably set up a upload tool for members.
Third option might be Flickr.... they are pretty good, their desktop software is decent and optional. They have a free plan, but for more storage and bandwidth the subscription plans are reasonable.

you can get a www.smugmug.com account for about $40 a year and you can put a lot of pictures on there. you can use this coupon for a discount: IW5vvgfYVG9gM .
you dont have to download any special software to load up pictures....they have about 6 different methods for loading your photos.

Good observation and thanks... although 'safety' is a semantic null*.
The car is supported by two 'horses' under the rear axle; and the jack is unwound just enough that you can just see a bit of clearance underneath the jack.
I have had a car come down from a jack before, so would never work under a car supported by a jack. The stamped metal was as cheaply made as possible, 'Made In China' just like the Nokian I3.
That particular day, I would work for a while, then the very serious young man insisted that I move and let him take over for a while. Rear brake callipers on a 900 are _that_ challenging. A simple pad replacement turned into a calliper replacement on both sides, as aged callipers won't wind back...
Cheers

Okay, so I'm female and like SAAB's go figure. Mind you, I like a good set of strappy sandal's just about as much though they don't take you thru the corners as fast. LOL
